Location
Ettekkar is 5km away from Aluva on the Aluva - Pazhanganad route.
It is situated on the route to the SOS Childrens' Village, Cochin and Veegaland. Bus services are frequent along this route.
Bus: Board the Kizhakambalam or Pazhanganad from the Aluva
Private Bus Stand and alight at the Ettekkar bus stop. Normal fares
are Rs.2.50 per person.
Auto: Catch an auto rickshaw from Aluva and request for the
Ettekkar St.Jude Church. Additional directions include, it is on the
right diversion road from Choondy Jn, a prominent landmark. Normal
rates are around Rs.35/- .
Taxi and Car: The above directions suffice.
Train: All passenger, express and super express trains running
between Thrissur and Ernakulam (Cochin) stop at Aluva Railway
Station. Alight there and use the above means. Aluva Station code
for Railway booking : AWY
Air: The nearest airport is the ultra-modern Cochin
(Nedumbassery) International Airport. The St.Jude Church is located
at a distance of 15 km from the Airport.
