The Most Rev. Dr. Daniel Acharuparambil

The Most Rev. Dr. Daniel Acharuparambil was born on 12 May 1939 in Palliport, Kerala to A.K. Rockey & Monica Acharuparambil. He did his primary schooling at St. Rockey's School, Palliport. He then did his Middle schooling at St. Mary's School, Palliport. For doing his Higher Secondary, he shifted to Cherai and attended Rama Varma Union High School. During his school days, he was a brilliant student. He passed S.S.L.C. with 1st class in 1956. He had the additional distinction of being the student with the highest mark in his school. And in the month of May the same year, he joined the Carmelite Order as an aspirant. Did the Ecclesiastical studies at St. Joseph's Pontifical seminary, in Alwaye, during the period 1956 - 1966. Did a Degree course in Philosophy for three years and a Degree course in Theology for four years. He concluded his graduation with a Bacherlor's Degree. It was on 14 March 1966, that he got ordained as a priest.
